Prodoc users who have installed Windows 11 24H2 update may encounter issues related to dates in the month of September. Microsoft has made a change that alters the short code for September to ‘Sept’ instead of the normal ‘Sep’ and this is incompatible with SQL data format conversions.
Prodoc Cloud customers are unaffected at this time.
Known issues connected to this change are:
- Search All Work may return no results if the “After” date is set to a date in September.
- Home screen overview panels (Recent Work, etc) may show no results and an error message if using a date filter set to a date in September.
Since both of the above typically use a 3-month range and December has just started it’s likely that the filters will use September as the start date.
Current workarounds are:
- Rollback the Windows 24H2 update.
- Change Region to Australia in Windows settings (this issue seems to be NZ specific).
- Change the date used to be an August/October date.
We are looking into a software fix for this issue. It is also possible Microsoft may release a fix as this has had a similar impact on other software. Currently September is the only month returning a 4 character short name so only dates in September will cause issues.
