AANZFTA Second Protocol changes

Effective 21st April a new AANZFTA Certificate format will apply for shipments to Brunei, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. This new format contains changes to overleaf notes to reflect changes to the agreement and a small change to wording on the ‘third party invoice’ option on the front page.

TradeWindow Origin customers

TradeWindow Origin will automatically return the appropriate certificate type based on the destination country from the 21st, so no changes are required to your process. If you share the Prodoc preview form with your customers then you can contact us to make a change to how the third party invoice tick box is displayed for Second Protocol countries.

Chamber of Commerce customers

Since Prodoc produces the certificate, a separate form will be required for Second Protocol countries. This will be a copy of your existing AANZFTA with the required wording changes to suit second protocol. You will then need to add the appropriate form to your shipments depending on destination country.

There is a half-hour time charge for making this change at our standard support rates. Note that if you have a large number of different AANZFTA versions that need to be duplicated this charge may vary.

We will aim to complete the changes on 21st April for those customers who have made the request. Note that the date is a public holiday in Australia and New Zealand, and if a large number of requests are received we may be unable to complete them all on the 21st.
